Grazie per la visita, 訪問していただきありがとうございます, תודה על הביקור , Thank you for visiting.
So I was visiting and my host gave me this paper he had saved. He came across this paper that was of an interview I did. One of my favorite stories, I'll spare you from having to strain your eyes "Like I am" to read it and just tell you about it.
I was touring through Reno, NV (The Biggest Little City) as the sign reads as you enter. It was early and I thoughjt I'd stop at a friendly diner with a band buddy and get something to eat. As we sat at the counter and looked at all the patrons eating, being all engaged in there own conversations while eating. A nice peaceful scene but thought to myself, "What could be done to make this day really somethin' different". I thought about it while eating and enjoying the easy goin' atmosphere and mixed clientel.
Old couples from out of town, local teenagers laughin' and carryin' on, moter cycle types in tattooes and leather all just eatin' -their- meals in -their- own little circles.....
What could bring everyone something different about this day, some event to get this day unlike any other day. I told my buddy, this is gonna be great, as I called the waitress over and said, "Please go and get everyones 'check" for me I'm buyin' everyones meal.
Shocked at first then pleasantly excited, she gathered all the checks and made the Announcement. "EVERYBODY This gentllmen just bought all your meals!!!
Silence at first, then EXCITED whoops of fun and glee. The Teens shoutin' wow I should of eaten' more, the Bikers given me the big smile and nods. Then group by group as they left came over to shake my hand and genuinely thank me for such a great surprise and kindness that really changed there day.
My favorite was the old couple that came over, Shook my hand and said, "If you ever get to Wisconson, you come over our house for dinner!"... (Whenever I"m in Wisconson I go door to door lookin' for that couple!! LOL)
My buddy who was also glad I piccked up his check as well said, "Well what was that all about"???
I thought about it and said, "Picture the lone cowboy ridin' off in the sunset, tumble weed rollin' and " The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" whistle theme in your ear," and I said,' IT was about "The Day Don Schiff Came TO Town!"

(Greg Ellis)
. I worked and wrote with her Many years ago. Great voice and writer. Her aunt is Rita Coolidge. Anyway Ty will be a great match for Lance, I have an album of Lances in the "Record STore" (While the Giant Sleeps). That is where I first met Lance, hired to play on the album then we became the best of friends. I'm excited, it has been to long in between albums for him "Carousel" was the last and that was... I don't even remember, I just remember touring through Sweden with him promoting the CD.
This all happend a few years ago and I call this one "The Emperors New Clothes" or "Year of the Sgt. Pepper"! Either way upon reflection... not as fun a look as I thought it was when I thought, "This will look GREAT!. The situation was a new band formed and I was hired (paid good and well funded. So much so, management took the band to "Melrose Ave" to shop for band clothes.... "Yep.... That's what I came up with!" Wore it once on stage, Sunset Strip, Viper Room. Great band however, a lot of fun stories came out that project and it was filmed as a reality show too, just never got picked up........, did I mention it paid really well. Your thinkin' "It'd have to to look like that".
